Material Introduction
Rhenium
Material Introduction
Pure rhenium metal is chemically light and stable, insoluble in hydrochloric acid, and soluble in nitric acid, hot concentrated sulfuric acid and hydrogen peroxide. Rhenium is relatively stable in air at room temperature, and starts to oxidize above 300°C, before rapidly oxidizing and volatilizing when it exceeds 600°C.
We produce rhenium powder, rhenium plates, rhenium particles, and shaped products with a purity of over 99.99%; rhenium can be cold formed, rolled into sheets, or drawn into wire rods. Our products produced using this method reach 100% densification.

Fabrication Process
The powder metallurgy method is used to prepare rhenium products, which is fully controllable from powder preparation right through to the final rolling molding. This ensures that the purity of rhenium products meets customer requirements.

Advantage
Rhenium has extremely high hardness, mechanical strength and wear resistance, as well as high electrical resistance and current load density. Its resistivity is more than 4 times that of tungsten, and photovoltaics can be applied in MOCVD heaters. Adding a small amount of rhenium to tungsten and molybdenum improves the strength, plasticity and welding performance of the alloy, reduces the ductility-brittle transition temperature and recrystallization brittleness, and increases the recrystallization temperature of the tungsten by 300-500°C.
