Tungsten Rods for Nuclear Fuel Assemblies
Product Introduction
Tungsten has the advantages of a high melting point, high sputtering threshold, excellent thermal and electrical conductivity, low tritium retention, and a low thermal expansion coefficient. It is used as a neutron absorber material in gray rod controllers.
Product Application
Tungsten control rod assemblies have low reactivity values and provide relatively small reactivity adjustments to the reactor by mechanical means, which reduces the need for changes to the reactor coolant boron concentration using chemical and volumetric control systems. As a result, they significantly reduce the daily handling of reactor wastewater and simplify the design and operation of chemical and volumetric control systems.

Length up to 4,000 mm.
