Product Introduction

MHC is a particle-reinforced molybdenum alloy containing hafnium and carbon. Because the distribution within the material of ultra-fine carbides is uniform, it still exhibits excellent heat resistance and creep resistance at a temperature of 1,550ᄚC. The recommended maximum operating temperature is also 150ᄚC higher than for TZM. For example, when used in extrusion dies, it is able to withstand extreme thermal and mechanical loads. MHC materials are therefore recommended for metal forming applications.
