Tungsten Rhenium Thermocouple Wire

Product Introduction

The Tungsten rhenium thermocouple is a high temperature resistant thermocouple. It features an outstanding temperature-potential relationship, high thermal stability, and low price. Matched with appropriate display instruments, it can directly measure the temperature of liquids, steam and gas media. Can be used between 0 and 2,300°C in vacuum, reducing, and inert atmospheres.

Tungsten-rhenium 5-tungsten-rhenium 26: nominal composition of the positive electrode is 95% tungsten and 5% rhenium, while the nominal composition of the negative electrode is 74% tungsten and 26% rhenium. Graduation number WRe5-WRe26, abbreviated to W-Re5/26 (ASTM graduation number: C).

Tungsten-rhenium 3-tungsten-rhenium 25: Nominal composition of the positive electrode is 97% tungsten and 3% rhenium, while the nominal composition of the negative electrode is 75% tungsten and 25% rhenium. Graduation number WRe3-WRe25, abbreviated to W-Re3/25 (ASTM graduation number: D).




Product Application

Tungsten-rhenium thermocouples can partially replace platinum-rhodium thermocouples as ultra-high temperature measurement tools for high-tech metallurgical industries, high-temperature electronic thermoelectric structural engineering and space vehicles, as well as nuclear reactors.

One of the drafting members for the national standard GB/T 29822-2013 Tungsten Rhenium Thermocouple Wire and Index Table.

The company has more than 60 years of experience in the R&D and preparation of refractory materials and is one of the earliest entities in China to be engaged in research into refractory materials.

The company is one of the first entities in China to research and develop tungsten-rhenium thermocouples. It holds an invention patent for tungsten-rhenium alloy wire, for which it was awarded third prize at the National Science Progress Award.
